I have an opening between two walls. It's not a door but an opening. I would need to reduce the opening and add a little to one of the walls.

How can this be done? With such a small increase, I think it might be tricky with drywall?

You need to have studs behind and then you screw the gypsum into the studs.

Are we talking only about a few cm or dm on one side and the other? You mentioned 10-15 cm on one side, or is that on both?

You'll surely get many good suggestions if you can upload an image.

With so little that needs to be changed, you can choose what you want to work with. Gips is certainly good for fire and sound insulation, but at an opening, it doesn't matter. Please show a picture so we can see how it looks with the ceiling, floor, and moldings and tell us what you know about how the wall is made.

Absolutely. It's just this one that I would need to extend a bit to fit two sixty-fridge/freezers on the other side. There are two there now (installed in the 1980s), without a filler piece. When I have done kitchen planning with various companies, I need to extend that wall a bit so it isn't exactly 120.

It is a plaster wall.

Just frame as far out as you need, attach some noggings to the existing wall, and then drywall. Tape the seam against the blue wall with joint tape and then repaint the entire wall.

Thank you the best! When you write kortlingar, how do you mean they should be placed? Across between the last rule and the rule before? Or any other thought there?
