Hi!

I am new here on the forum and new to both DIY carpentry and building houses, and I was thinking of asking for advice. I’m currently working on a sketch of a small cabin-like building about 3.5x4m with a sloping roof, where one of the shorter walls (the higher one) will be covered with various used windows.

The design feels fun, and since it’s primarily going to be a summer room, I’m not too worried about the reduced insulation in the wall that all the windows entail. However, I am concerned about the structural durability since there are many heavy windows to be installed over the wall, where the vertical studs cannot be placed 60 cm apart but rather 1m apart, perhaps more. Sketch of a shed-like building with a slanted roof and one wall covered in variously sized windows.

Does anyone know how to approach this type of construction?

For example, should we consider thicker studs, like 45x120?

Regards,
Love
