Hi.

I am planning to set up a new interior wall but I won't be hitting any ceiling joists. My wall runs parallel to the ceiling joists.
Is it enough to screw the steel track into the pine panel, which in turn is nailed to the ceiling joists?
Or should I open the plastic and install noggings? If so, how often?
The wall is for a bathroom. So it's 70mm steel studs with plywood and plasterboard. OSB and plasterboard on the non-bathroom side.

There are no loads to hold, just sideways, so pull a little tightly with screws up into the ceiling, and it holds. To make it grip better in the panel if it's a bit thin, pre-drill with a bit that is slightly smaller than the core of the screw. The panel won't crack then.
