Hello,

We're going to build our garage with one long side and one short side partially "underground." We will backfill up to 2 meters, and the garage will be 7 meters long and 4 meters wide. The walls will be 2.7 meters high and will be placed on a slab. Will it be feasible to build this garage with 29 cm leca with reinforcement every other row and then fill with leca pellets on the outside to reduce ground pressure? Is regular reinforcement sufficient, or should it be bistål? Do we need to fill with leca on the outside or what should we fill with, as soil is probably not recommended?

Grateful for tips and advice. Below you can find a link that apparently explains ground pressure and reinforcement, but I'm not good at math....

We are considering the same thing, have you received any good tips? Are you planning to build the entire long side straight or gradually let it go down to ground level?
