The wall between the kitchen and living room in the picture, can I take it down without further measures?

  • Floor plan showing the wall between the kitchen and living room; question about removing it without further actions.
Probably, but I would preferably like to see a section first.

A section what? It goes across the roof ridge.
So the wall is in the same direction as the roof trusses. House built in '84.

Section = sectional drawing. The wall is probably not load-bearing, but it may be stabilizing. If you remove it, it will become a very long room. A sectional drawing facilitates the assessment.

Okay, I will check what I find!

Thanks!

This is all I have. Is it enough for assessment?

Blueprint of a floor plan with room dimensions and layout details on an old, creased paper. Blueprint sketches of a building with elevations and measurements.

There are other parties that stabilize, so I think you can take down the wall. It makes it easier to read the drawings if they're not upside down...

Okay, awesome.
But how sure can one be based on the drawings I've uploaded?

Very secure if one can read them.
