I am planning to renovate the laundry room in the basement and have some thoughts on which materials to use.
The outer wall consists of masonry lecca blocks with a thickness of 25 cm, and the inner walls are made of concrete hollow blocks and lightweight concrete (blåbetong).
I'm considering adding 5 cm of siporex on the outer wall for insulating effect. These are glued in place.
What do you think about this?
For the inner walls, I want to cover them with some form of panel boards. Which ones should I choose? I don't have any direct issues with moisture, but I want to be on the safe side regardless.
The floor will likely be painted with a diffusion-open paint.

Since Siporex is so fine-grained, it will absorb moisture from the exterior wall. Doubtful about that solution.

Are you completely sure about this?

Call Ytong or Siporex and check with them.
I used to work in public housing and there we had problems with interior aerated concrete absorbing moisture from the brick facade (there was no air gap). The back of the paintings would mold and the walls were so wet that they became cold.
