Hello!

We are in the process of getting rid of the pellet stove because we've ordered district heating. The stove takes up a lot of space and we don't like it.

The stove has a ventilation fan going straight through the wall with a pipe about 10cm in diameter.
We live in a brick house. Attached is what the exterior/interior wall consists of.

I would appreciate tips and advice on how best to seal this hole through the living room wall. Is it unwise to do it myself? Is it better to hire a professional?

Grateful for tips and advice!

  • A freestanding black pellet stove on a wooden floor, partially placed on a black mat, near a white wall and wooden cabinet.
  • Ventilation pipe of a pellet stove passing through a living room wall, attached to a black mounting plate on a white plaster surface.
  • Close-up of a pellet stove vent fan mounted on a brick wall, with visible wiring and duct opening for ventilation through the wall.
  • Rusty ventilation fan and duct opening in a brick wall, connected to a dismantled pellet stove ventilator.
  • Close-up of a hand holding a pellet stove ventilation vent on a brick wall, showing rusted openings and surrounding building materials for potential sealing.
  • Building plan detailing wall construction with materials, thickness, and insulation values for exterior and basement walls in a house.
  • Document detailing wall and floor construction specifications, highlighting insulation and structural materials like mineral wool and boards for a building project.
Anyone know what type of pellet stove is shown in the pictures? Manufacturer? Model? Thanks in advance!
