I have a house that is currently not heated, planning to install a heating system this summer.
I would like to put up ceiling panels to progress with my renovation.
The question is whether the ceiling panels need to acclimatize before installation as it seems now? How will it be later when I finally get the house heated? The panels will dry and shrink resulting in gaps is my most reasonable thought.
Should I heat up just one room to acclimatize the panels?

Depends on how picky you plan to be and what kind of panel it is. The best thing, of course, is to warm up and let the panel acclimatize.

If it's tongue and groove, however, the problems aren't as significant. The tonguing is designed to prevent gaps when the wood moves.
