Drilling in firebrick

Hello everyone!
I wonder if it's possible to drill an 8 mm hole in firebrick dimensions 2.5 D x 25 L x 11.4 W. Do you drill as in a regular brick? Does anyone know?

Is it just like thin decorative bricks?
I would probably go with a tile drill without hammer action
With hammer action, it might risk cracking.

Yes, it is 2.5 cm thick. Maybe a diamond drill will work. I'll try that. Thanks for the answer!
