I have a wall that is load-bearing for the floor joists. This is located on 500cc. The wall has been supported (a long time ago) with 4 pieces of 45x70, so it is practically a 70x140 beam, and there is an arch in the wall of about 1m.
Now to my question: I would like to open up and enlarge the arch to connect the rooms a little more. Approximately what load-bearing capacity can I expect from such a construction? How wide can I dare to make the door opening?
Of course, a building notification and such are required, but if someone could give me some guidance, it would be greatly appreciated.
