Cut out floor for hydronic underfloor heating?
Hello!
It's like this, I'm currently tearing out a room in the basement that was flagged during the inspection when we bought the house.
Due to the walls being directly affixed to the foundation and the concrete floor.
Now, it's like this, I'm considering making the room into a bedroom. And we currently have a hydronic radiator there.
But I would like to install hydronic underfloor heating instead.
Now, my question is, do I need to break out the concrete slab in the room? And insulate and re-cast it?
The house was built in 1968. So I assume it's not insulated underneath.
Or how is it done?
Kind regards, unsure DIYer
