Construction phase?

Hey.

Maybe I've placed the thread a bit wrong, but I'll give it a try here.

Anyway. I'm planning how my garage/house should be and thought I would sketch out something I want.

What programs do you use or how do you go about designing your houses and garages? Do you contact an architect or sit and flip through brochures?

I usually use Google SketchUp. I have drawn everything myself, but some people do hire an architect, although it's perhaps not so common for garages.
