Hello,
I have managed to get hold of beautiful old bricks (about 100 years old) that will be used for a wall for a greenhouse. They are relatively clean (aside from construction dust) but have some old mortar left here and there, often mostly as a smooth coating of about 2-4 millimeters. How important is it to remove EVERYTHING before we start building? If there were large chunks of mortar, I absolutely understand that it's not possible to build with them, but if it's just a little? Does it affect stability or complicate the building process, etc.? I should add that I like the rough, old, worn look.
Grateful for the input!
