Hi,
I'm decorating an unheated attic in a log house from the late 1800s and have insulated it with 10cm loose cellulose inside the log walls. Internally, the wall consists of vertical studs at 60cm centers and then horizontal 28x70 battens at 30cm centers inside the moisture barrier, screwed in the studs.
Now I'm going to install cladding and I'm wondering:
Since OSB/gypsum should be screwed approximately every 15cm, but the battens are at 30cm centers, how do you do that?
I'm thinking of screwing into the battens at 30cm centers at the edges and middle, but also along the horizontal battens, at 15cm centers.
Does that sound right?
Hope the description is understandable.
