Casting foundation for stove, moisten during curing time?
Hello!
I'm in the process of casting a foundation for an upcoming cast iron stove. Since it's indoors and around 20 degrees, it might dry too quickly? Should I water it? Cover it with plastic? Any other ritual?
Very grateful for any input that can be received a little late like this.
Best regards,
Ekblom

Cover with plastic.
It's not a casting that requires full strength that you're doing, so even if it cracks, it doesn't matter.

After a couple of days, I usually remove molds, not immediately as the concrete is quite soft, not after a couple of weeks as it's harder, but the concrete is hard.
Say 2 days, if you cannot remove the mold without affecting the casting.
