Hello!

I have a machine hall where I want to build an insulated section internally with a "loft"/"mezzanine" upper floor capable of storing some heavier objects (storage shelves + a bunch of motorcycles).

I've entered the desired measurements etc. into the Svensktträ Mezzanine Calculator with the heaviest load they had, which I believe should handle the intended load. Attached is an image of the dimensioning.

Diagram of a structural design for an insulated mezzanine in a machine hall, showing wooden beams, posts, and technical specifications in a 4x8m space.

However, it calculates with glulam posts and 3 glulam beams in fairly large sizes. My question is, is there anyone who can help me calculate if it's possible to reduce the size of the front and rear beams if one calculates with walls around the whole structure instead of just posts? And are 120mm studs in those walls too weak in that situation?

Even though the whole section is 4x8m, it will be divided into two rooms of 4x4m each.

So, if there's a structural engineer who might be able to calculate this for a small fee, that would be welcome!
