Building over a channel in a barn.

Hello. I just bought a property with a barn measuring 24x10m, with a poured concrete floor, but there's a "trench" in the middle of the barn, about 2m wide and 2m deep.

I'm thinking of covering it up with timber, but it should be able to support a car and caravan driving over it.

How would you do it? How many kilos can 45x220 c24 handle over a 2m span with cc60?

Strength of the wood should be answered by someone more knowledgeable than I am, but you might consider having a post in the middle for support. Or two diagonal braces so that it forms an arch like a bridge span.

Are you going to use the rännan for anything, otherwise fill it in with something suitable and pour a new floor.
