Hello
I am going to build a small alcove in the living room, meaning a wall. My question is, is plywood and insulation sufficient or do you also need to put up drywall?

Are you going to paint or wallpaper? Gypsum is normal, some use chipboard instead and wallpaper directly on it.

Planning to wallpaper already have 120 mm plywood at home so thought maybe that would be enough.

I wouldn't wallpaper on that, either plasterboard or chipboard.

You can put renovation plasterboard over the plywood and then wallpaper.

Can now announce that I was at the building shop and brought a box of plasterboard screws home with me! It went completely smoothly after that. 👍🏼

  • A box of phosphated hard drywall screws with a green label, containing 1000 pieces, placed on a surface.
