We have L-supports on one part of the property.
We want to build a fence or trellis on this to prevent the children from falling down.
What I notice is that there are already holes in the L-supports.
But I don't know if they are meant for screwing in or what they are for?
They are not very deep, maybe about 2 cm.

I'm attaching a picture, what do you think?
And if it works, how do you construct it to put up a trellis-style fence about 1 meter high.

Close-up of a concrete L-stone with a shallow, rusty hole, surrounded by grass, possibly for use in fence or trellis construction.

It looks like it's meant for screwing in lifting eyes when they're lifted into place, just find matching mounts and bolt :)

Not quite sure how to interpret your answer?
Are the holes just for lifting the supports into place, nothing I can use to build a fence on?

Googled lifting loop so now I know what they look like at least =)

There are holes for lifting loops, but there is nothing preventing you from mounting your fence with a bolt in the hole?

I went to Svevia after a tip and got ahold of road markers that I mounted on the L-supports. They sit like a ROCK. :) In my case, it's meant to stop a possibly slowly sliding car. You might not have such heavy children or such a need... :)

Interesting solution, but perhaps not so nice on a trellis fence ;-)

My question is really whether those holes serve any function for me since they are so shallow?
In other words, is there any point in using them, or should I build in some other way?

There is no problem attaching a fence to the lifting eyes.
