As the headline states. I have a rowing boat that is currently on a trailer, but I'm considering building some kind of device so the water drains off and doesn't go directly into the boat.

Do you have any good examples?

For example like this:
A covered boat on a trailer, parked on a gravel surface with other covered boats and equipment in the background.
A covered space under a green tarpaulin with wooden and metal supports, possibly part of a DIY or renovation project.

Perfect! Has it worked well in previous years?

Certainly, three winters have gone fine. Naturally, you have to follow up if there is extreme snowfall and brush it away.

And here is the support for "takåsen"
Support for the ridge beam is shown on a trailer with a tarp in an outdoor setting at night.
