This is my favorite screw when precision is required with moldings and more. About 3mm thin. Drill tip. Small head. And Torx. And it was available in different lengths. An extremely practical screw. Plus, it was sold in bulk.
Two silver screws on a white surface; one is significantly longer than the other.
But now it seems Bauhaus has changed their screw supplier. I can't find even similar screws anywhere. Does anyone have any tips on where I can find this kind of screw? Or similar?

Screw for lists?

The screw I find is often too coarse and has too large a head. Often they are packaged in small bags and the unit price of the screw becomes 10 kronor each.

Feel free to provide concrete tips if you know of any specific product.

Grabber LTX seems like what you're looking for.

Available with white, shiny, and copper-colored heads.

Search for "sockelskruv" to find more similar to this. Bauhaus has some Essve variant but it probably lacked a drill tip.

That grabber screw is coarser.

However, Claes Ohlson seems to have something similar. But a poor selection of lengths, and they're sold in small bags. That is, expensive screw.

3.3mm is close to approx. 3mm as you write.

Essve has thin list screws with tx10 bits for the head. I usually have a couple of different lengths at home for the same as you write about.

It is also an accessibility issue. You can probably find screws to order online. But there are delivery times and shipping and hassle. I really miss Bauhaus's range where you could just buy this screw in bulk in lengths of every 5 mm. A real shame they stopped doing that.

FAST has one that is 3.2mm, torx.

Byggmax, Bårebo.

That could be a candidate. It's sold, among other places, here on byggahus. I wonder where you can get it during the Easter weekend?

If you only have a few screws, can you just as well pre-drill?

Is it all the loose weight that's gone or just parts of the range?

Sure, you can pre-drill. But that's not where the shoe pinches. If you're, for example, going to screw in decorative moldings (sometimes you need to squeeze them in a little extra) and place the screw in the middle of the groove, you want screws with a small diameter. Both the thread and the head. Especially the head. The same goes when you have to place a screw very close to an edge. You don't want a head that sticks out over the edge or crushes the wood.

The old assortment of Bauhaus bulk has been replaced with a new assortment that partially overlaps with the old one. But the screw in my first post doesn't seem to be available anymore.

Grabber's assortment is available on Hornbach shelves. I think 3.3mm should be considered sufficient for 3mm to suffice.

why drill point on trim screw, seems a bit unnecessary
