Baseboard in laundry room. Wood or cast?
I have a need to level the floor in the laundry room for two machines during the year we're living there. But I really have no desire to prep the old painted floor and prepare for leveling and floating.
Thinking about putting together a wooden frame with adjustable legs instead.
Has anyone tried that? You don't want the machines to shake off. How did you make it stable enough for the spin cycle, etc.?

A wooden base will definitely suffice. Make it from, for example, a 45x95 stud. Instead of adjustable legs, you can easily level the frame with shims. You can either buy ready-made plastic shims or take small pieces of wood and carve them.
If you want it to look a bit nicer and use feet, there are sturdier feet that will definitely hold. Or why not a ready-made base?

There are several different options to choose from. The price might be hard to beat with a self-made frame and feet.

It works with a stand or a frame with feet. We have a large 8 kg washing machine that stands on a metal stand with adjustable feet and it stays still even when it spins a full load. We have tiled floors with a fairly steep slope towards the floor drain but it's not a problem.
Thank you very much for the great input. Then I'll go with a 45x95 slightly larger with wedges. Have a nice evening!!
