Hello!

I have gotten hold of a Carrara marble coffee table that needs a little love. It's high-gloss except for some small surface scratches and water rings.

I'm thinking of trying to fix it myself since I'm somewhat handy. I have access to both a random orbital sander and an oscillating machine (150mm diameter) for cars.

From what I've been able to read, wet sanding is the way to go. Starting from 4-500 up to 2000.

The hardest step seems to be acquiring the materials themselves, as the big hardware stores don't seem to have them, so checking with a stonemason might be necessary, but several that I've called are not familiar with it.

Is there anyone on the forum who has done polishing themselves?
