A flat roof you never need to shovel
Hello, I'm writing again because of an idea I got for a project I am working on.
It's about a roof terrace that should withstand any amount of snow. Drainage is handled with a roof pitch of 3.6 degrees and a sparsely spaced wooden floor on top of it, without a slope. In this way, the water can drain off while having an outdoor area with a magnificent view.
To ensure the roof can withstand maximum load, a solution could be to have concrete pillars in the four corners of the house that the roof rests on. I am a novice myself, but is this something that would work? The rest of the house (two floors plus the roof terrace) could then be built with relatively lightweight wood, except for the roof trusses.

Yes, that might work but it will probably be cheaper to scrap the concrete pillars and build the walls with regular 195 or 220 studs. You still want reasonably thick walls for insulation purposes. Building flat roofs is also not unusual, there should be standard dimensioning tables for the roof construction you've chosen and the snow zone the house is located in. If you slightly overdimension the roof based on the dimensioning tables, the risk of too much snow should be practically non-existent.
Frågan blir knepig. Du anger ingen yta och inga dimensioner på betongpelarna. Självklart skulle det fungera. Det är bara att titta på broar eller liknande konstruktioner. Det handlar om en takaltan som ska hålla för vilken snömängd som helst. Avrinningen sköts med hjälp av en taklutning på 3.6 grader och glest trägolv ovanpå det, utan lutning. På det sättet kan vattnet rinna av samtidigt som man har en uteplats med vidunderlig utsikt.
För att taket ska kunna tåla maximal belastning skulle en lösning kunna vara att ha betongpelare i husets fyra hörn som taket ligger på. Jag är själv novis men är detta något som skulle fungera? Resten av huset (två vån plus takaltan) skulle då kunna byggas med relativt klent trävirke, förutom takstolarna.
